How long's the wait?
Real wait times at Wally's, by day. When to walk in if you're in a hurry, and when to grab a coffee on Cupania first.
Walk-in only means you don't book. It also means the wait is whatever the chair's doing right now. Here's the honest version.
Quietest times#
Mon to Wed, any time. Thu to Sat afternoons. If you can swing a midweek 11am, you'll likely sit straight down.
Busiest times#
Saturday mornings. Always. School-holiday Saturdays especially.
If a Saturday morning cut is the plan, get there by 9:30am opening. By 10:30am the queue is real.
What "real" means#
- Quiet day: 0–10 min from walking in to sitting down.
- Standard afternoon: 15–25 min.
- Saturday morning peak: 30–60 min, sometimes more.
The cut itself is 30–45 min. So a peak-Saturday round trip is about 90 min on the bones.
How to skip the queue#
You can't, mate. Walk-in only means walk-in for everyone. No phone-ahead spot. No app priority.
What you can do:
- Pop in once to scout. Walking past on Cupania or grabbing a coffee? Duck your head in. See the queue. Come back if it's quiet.
- Use the live status banner at the top of the homepage. It updates as we get closer to closing.
- Last cut is taken 30 min before close. Don't walk in 5 minutes before close expecting a fade. We'll have to send you off.
What if you've got a hard out#
If you have to be somewhere by a fixed time, tell the barber when you sit down. We'll cut to the clock if it's tight.
Otherwise, walking in any time we're open is the deal. Sit down when the chair's free. We'll get you sorted.
Walk in when it suits you. The chair's at Shop 10, 3/5 Cupania Street, Daisy Hill.
